Man Shot in Face in Southwest

On Friday night at approximately 11:30 p.m. the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) First District received a call about a shooting in the alley behind the 1000 block of Third Street SW.

The victim reported he was walking in the block when the suspect approached. The victim, an adult man, was shot one time in the face by unknown suspect(s) before the suspect(s) fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he is expected to survive.

At this time MPD do not have any lookout for any suspect(s).
