Potomac Water Taxi Service Resumes Friday

The Potomac Water Taxi will again offer its daily, scenic service along the Potomac River this spring. Beginning Friday, March 6, transit across the river or take guided sightseeing tours of the District’s landmarks and seasonal cherry blossom trees.

The taxi service offers both one-way and round trip rides connecting the Wharf, National Harbor and Old Town Alexandria. These 30 minute rides begin daily at 11:45 a.m., and boats run every 30 to 60 minutes.

Sightseeing rides are also available between Alexandria and Georgetown. These one hour tours offer scenic views of some of the District’s most iconic landmarks complete with audio narration.

Ahead of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, which begins March 20, the Cherry Blossom Water Taxi will offer a unique look at the blooms from the water. The 45 minute tours depart from the Wharf, National Harbor, Georgetown and Old Town Alexandria.

Tickets start at $21 and can be purchased here. Visit www.cityexperiences.com/city-cruises to learn more, view current schedules and reserve a ride.
