Two More Opportunities to Hear from Ward 7 Candidates

You have two more opportunities to hear from Ward 7 candidates at forums hosted by the Ward 7 Community Consortium. An in-person forum is set for Saturday, May 4 and an online forum on Tuesday May 14.

The Hillcrest Community Civic Association (HCCA), a member of the Ward 7 Community Consortium, is spearheading the Ward 7 City Council Democratic Candidate Forum at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church (3000 Pennsylvania Ave. SE).

The in-person forum’s focus will be on key issues such as education, health, and economic development, particularly concerning small businesses, all of which hold significant importance for residents of Hillcrest, Penn Branch, Ft. Dupont Park, Pennsylvania Avenue, and surrounding areas.

The candidates have the opportunity to engage directly with these communities. Moderators will be fielding questions submitted online, ensuring that the voices and concerns of our neighborhoods are heard loud and clear.

Friends of DC Streetcar, Washington Area Bicyclists Association, and Marshall Heights Community Development Organization are co-hosting the May 14 candidate forum. It will focus on issues around transportation and the environment.

Ward 7 DC Council Candidate Forum on Transportation and Environmental issues will be May 14th, 6 p.m to 8 p.m.
It is part of a series of forums hosted by the Capitol Civic Association, Dupont Park Civic Association, East River Family Strengthening Collaborative, ElectedDC, Friends of DC Streetcar, Marshall Heights Community Development Organization, National Coalition of 100 Black Women Metropolitan Washington DC Chapter 9, Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church, Penn Branch Civic Association, Ward 7 Education Council, WABA, Washington Interfaith Network
