Hill East Civic Association Hosts Ward 7 Candidate Forum Saturday

The Hill East Civic Association (HECA) invites Ward 7 residents to participate in a Ward 7 Councilmember Candidate forum to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at St. Coletta of Greater Washington (1901 Independence Ave. SE).

The forum will focus on Ward and District issues that are important to residents of Hill East, including on topics such as:

  • Economic Development
  • Education
  • Transportation
  • Public Safety
  • Cross-River Ward Unity

Several questions will be preselected from a list of questions submitted by members of the Hill East neighborhood. Find a link to RSVP and submit questions here starting April 6, or email questions to hilleastcivicassoc@gmail.com

The forum will be moderated by Andrew Lightman, Managing Editor of Capital Community News (publisher of Hill Rag and East of the River community newspapers).

Candidates who participated in the recent Ward 7 Democrats Candidate Forum have been invited to this event. Initees to those panels have been organized according to forum straw poll results and fundraising to-date.

Event rules are uniform and will be announced at the start of each panel. Panel 1 will begin at 10:15 a.m. and run until noon.

After a fifteen minute intermission,  Panel 2 will begin at 12:15 p.m. and end at 2 p.m.
