Join the Great Ward 6 Clean-Up

It’s time for a spring clean-up! Get together with your neighbors and spruce up your neighborhood with the Great Ward 6 Clean-Up, Saturday April 6 from 10 a.m. to 6p.m. Here’s how you can get involved:

Councilmember Charles Allen (Ward 6-D) will host at least three main clean-up sites across the Ward. Soon that final list will be announced. RSVP here to stay updated.

But community groups and neighbors can pick their own spots and invite others to join you. Last year there were around 12 neighbor-organized sites, In 2024, we’re trying to better that number.

If you’d like to host your own clean-up, please email Kimberly Kennedy at Allen’s office, and they’ll post it on their website. If you need supplies, you can pick them up from Allen’s team at the Eastern Market Metro Station from 5-6:30p.m. Friday, April 5.

Not a planner? Just woke up and decided to add the shine? You can just walk out the front door and do a little cleaning on your block or in your alley. No further steps needed, but it would be cool if you’d  RSVP to get updates and tweet a pic using the hashtag #ward6springclean to show the sparkle in Ward 6.

This is the third year organizing The Great Ward 6 Spring Clean, and each year has been bigger and better thanks to you.

The event is a partnership between the Office of Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen, the Hill Rag, the Hill is Home, and the Mayor’s Office of the Clean City.

So get out those gloves and grabbers, tell your neighbors, and RSVP!
