You can share your love of your neighborhood! Become a Tour Guide to visitors and community for Historic Eastern Market. Tour Guides will work for a 2 hour shift during the CHRS (Capitol Hill Restoration Society) Home Expo Tour Oct. 28.
You’ll emerge from training ready to provide a fascinating 25-minute tour of the Market. Training, scheduling and all the materials you will need are provided by CHRS.
It’s a perfect way to introduce residents and tourist to the historic jewel of Capitol Hill – Our Eastern Market.
Training sessions (1 hour) will be held in the North Hall at the Market on Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. A second training will be offered Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. If you can’t make those you can schedule training by contacting Angie Schmidt at akschmidtdc@yahoo.com or 202-741-4502.
Free tours will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis during the Capitol Hill (CHRS) House Expo on Oct. 28. Tour guides will work in shifts: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Each tour will have up to 10 people in it and will take approximately 25 minutes.
