It’s February break. If you’re not a parent, you may be surprised to hear that many parents have already signed their kids up for summer camp.

But if you are a parent and you haven’t yet accounted for all the days on the summer calendar, take heart! Yes, there’s still time to register for summer camp!

You can check out multiple different programs out, all in one room at J.O. Wilson’s Summer Camp Fair, making its return in 2023 after a two-year hiatus.

Discover the perfect summer camp for your child at the DC Camp Fair on Saturday, March 4th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at J.O. Wilson Elementary School (660 K St. NE). With more than 45 camps in attendance, there will be something for everyone ages 3 through 18. There will be art, music, sports, overnight and theater camps. Learn more about a large variety of local and regional camps.

Adventures on the Hill Summer Camp DC is all about making learning a fun, hands-on experience that children will remember for years to come. The well-rounded curriculum helps campers explore their interests in STEM, sports, culture, health and wellness, and more. By providing a variety of interests, councilors encourage campers to pursue their passions and dive head-first into their own learning. Adventures on The Hill Summer Camp is a District of Columbia Public Schools Approved Program Partner. 

$425/week | 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. | Rolling Admission

At Camp Shakespeare, actors dive into the world of the greatest playwright in history. Working with theatre professionals, participants unravel plays with text analysis; transform into characters through voice and movement; wage battles with stage combat; and develop acting skills. Sessions culminate in a performance at the Shakespeare Theatre Company. 

$850 per two-week session | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Aftercare 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. | registration closes the week prior to camp

Friends Community School offers weekly sessions for campers ages 3.5-14, ranging from arts and crafts, archery, music, engineering, and more!. Camps are taught by experienced teachers and camp counselors from FCS and our extended community. Camp operates from 9:00 – 3:00 with before and after-care available.

NES is a professionally run preschool with an eye to individualized attention in a warm friendly setting.  NES offers 14 unique weeks of science experiments, outdoor exploration and lots of outdoor fun every toddler will love! Join Northeast Stars Montessori Preschool Summer camp 2023. Explore science in a fun and educational camp! With different themes every week that complement our STEM-heavy Montessori curriculum both inside and outside the classroom, all summer long. Summer camp begins on May 30 and runs through August 31. It is offered for children ages 2 to 3.5 years and 3.5 to 5 years.
