A man was shot outside Navy Yard Metro Station Saturday.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Homicide Branch are investigating the shooting, which took place around 7:55 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 on the 1200 block of Half Street SE.
Police found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (FEMS) responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life.
It was the sixth homicide in eight days. That’s double the homicide rate for the same period in 2022.
The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 20-year-old Terry Clark, of Southeast DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
