In the early morning hours of Dec. 14, five people in a house on the 1700 block of Bay Street SE were jolted awake.
According to police reports, at just before 6 a.m. the front door of the home was forced open with a crow bar. Four people endtrered the home, three armed with guns. They shouted that they were with the FBI.
Initial reports indicated that some of the occupants of the home might have been bound. Three of the victims were assaulted in their home.
Police said two of the five were able to escape and contact law enforcement.
In the meantime, the four suspects assaulted the other five people and stole a wide variety of things from the home, including two safes, $3,300 in case, a Rolex watch, an iPhone and a silver 2017 Audi Q3 which reportedly had “unknown tags”.
The four fled in the Audi and in another car, a white hatchback.
Police said the case is under active investigation.
