The American Pops Orchestra (APO) will perform as part of the “Live, on the Hill” Concerts at Eastern Market Metro Plaza Park tonight, Wednesday, Sept 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The concerts are hosted By Barracks Row Main Street in Partnership with Barracks Row Main Street, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Office of Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen (D).

The APO was founded in 2015 by Maestro Luke Frazier and is dedicated to bringing American popular music to diverse new audiences in dynamic ways. Their mission is to build community through the preservation, promotion and reimagination of American popular music. Through live and virtual performances, educational initiatives and collaborations APO makes the highest quality art accessible to the broadest audiences.

Following the onset of COVID-19, APO was presented with the opportunity to further engage local and national audiences through online artistic content and virtual adaptations of in-person programs. The event is free and open to all.
