Virtual Forum An Opportunity to Hear Views of Candidates

Learn about the candidates during a virtual Ward 6 State Board of Education (SBOE) Candidates Forum, scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Brandon Best and Joshua Wiley are running for the position. The forum will be an opportunity to learn more about the candidates, hear their visions for education in DC, and get your questions answered. Denise Forte, interim CEO of The Education Trust will moderate the forum which is expected to run about an hour and a half.

In August, incumbent Ward 6 SBOE Representative Jessica Sutter announced she would not seek re-election. Elected in November 2018, during her term she focused on revising school standards and strengthening  the Safe Passages to School Act.
