A large audience enjoys the show at Hill Center Family Day 2019

This Family Day, take the whole gang to celebrate Hill Center’s 11th birthday! Come mark the occasion with a concert, magic show, and wagon rides, and more on Sunday, Sept. 25.

Commissioned in 1864 as the nation’s first Naval Hospital, the District accepted a 2002 proposal offered by a coalition of Capitol Hill neighbors to use the site as an educational center for children and adults and a gathering place for community residents. Ever since it opened in 2011 as the Hill Center (921 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) has been the site of weddings, celebrations, meetings, performances and learning.

Turley and a mini magician from the audience make magic together at Family Day 2019.

Celebrate that convergence of community at Family Day, which returns again and better than ever for 2022 with programs you love and some new ones as well. Come enjoy a completely free day of crafts, shows, carriage rides, balloon animals and a family exercise class.

Tickets need to be reserved for both child and adult attendees. Reserve your tickets now. Beer, wine, and other concessions will be available.
