National Night Out Kicks Off Tuesday in Lincoln Park

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) invites neighbors to join officers and community leaders to celebrate the 39th Annual National Night Out (NNO)on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

The national event is intended to introduce communities to local law enforcement. It also highlights crime prevention, neighborhood watch programs and other safety-related issues.

Lincoln Park will host the citywide kick-off event Tuesday, Aug. 2, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm in Lincoln Park (1100 E. Capitol St. NE), but MPD has scheduled events across all seven police districts during the late afternoon and evening hours. Activities include community cookouts, agency resources, agency vehicles, musical performances (including from the Potomac Gardens All-Star Drum Line), free food, treats and more.
