Reward Raised in 2020 Shooting of Saige Ballard

The reward has been increased in the 2020 shooting death of Saige Ballard.

Ballard was an 18-year-old graduate of Wilson High School who had just completed her first year of college. She came home to the District during the pandemic.

It was here in the early morning hours of June 11, 2020 that Ballard was shot outside a house on the 200 block of E Street NE, near Union Station.

Another person was also shot; the man survived his injuries. Ballard did not.

Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) usually offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide offense committed in the District of Columbia. The family has added an additional $15,000, bringing the total possible reward amount for this case to $40,000.
