Were you wondering when there was going to be a forum for the Ward 6 candidates in the primary election? It happens Monday, June 6.
In May, the Ward 6 Dems together with Capitol Hill Restoration Society and the Hill Rag hosted a series of candidate forums. But there wasn’t one for Ward 6 council member.
That’s because the incumbent council member, Charles Allen, is running unopposed in the Democratic primary.
While Allen can’t exactly debate himself, the Ward 6 Dems want to provide an opportunity for Ward 6 voters to meet with Council member Allen and get questions answered prior to the DC primary election on June 21.
So they’ve again partnered with the Capitol Hill Restoration Society, DC Young Democrats, the Southwester and SWNA (the Southwest Neighborhood Assembly) to make that happen.
The event takes place Monday, June 6 from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. At the Town Square Towers Pavilion (700 Seventh Street SW, in the rear). Capacity is limited, so RSVP: https://www.mobilize.us/
Note: There is NO virtual option for this event, but the venue is a covered outdoor space. The venue is located near The Wharf, in Zone 6 parking and less than a 10 minute walk from the L’Enfant Plaza Metro station.
