Unplugged in the Park has been rescheduled!
It takes place Saturday, May 28, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Potomac Triangle Park (Potomac Avenue & I Street at 13th Street SE).
The concert features rhythm and blues band Shug and Velvet Cover Featuring DJ Love with special guest Ms. Black DC Janelle Williams
Jim Guckert of Guerrilla Gardeners helped renovate and rejuvenate the two triangle parks on Potomac Avenue SE between 12th and 13th Streets.
The parks had recently been reworked with fitness equipment and a splash pad but with no plan or money for maintenance.
Guerrilla Gardeners worked with Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 6B and the residents of nearby Potomac Gardens, raising money and recruiting volunteers to restore and reactivate the park. This concert is one result. All are welcome.
