It’s getting warmer outside. That calls for some hot jazz in the great outdoors.
Kick off the season with the return of the Wednesday night Jazz in Canal Park Series (200 M St. SE). Beginning May 4 and running through May 25, the middle block of Canal Park will host local jazz groups every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The series will launch with a performance by Levine Music and will then feature two performances by DMV Percussion Academy Jazz Trio – a Northeast DC-based music school specializing in the percussive arts – as well as the summer sounds of the Tobago Bay Calypso Band during the month.
