As it gets chilly, thoughts on the Hill turn to Halloween. What better place to get into the twilight frame of mind than in the dark at Historic Congressional Cemetery (1801 E St.SE)?

On two weekends in October before Halloween, guests can trespass into the past and discover the secrets of some of Congressional Cemetery’s “residents”. Soul Strolls, the Congressional Cemetery’s annual twilight tours, will explore the stories of individuals buried here through guided tours and costumed interpreters.

Participants will experience the history of the hallowed ground exactly the way it should be experienced in October – in twilight and darkness, happening upon vignettes and individuals under the guidance of one of guides.

Soul Strolls take place Fridays on October 15 and 22) and Saturdays (October 16 and 23) from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hour-long tours depart every 15 minutes with timed entry tickets. This event is rain or shine.

Visit https://bit.ly/SoulStrolls2021for more information and links to purchase tickets while they last. Adult tickets are $35; children 12 and under are $15. VIP tickets will be available. Costumes are encouraged for attendees.
