Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital today announced the launch of a new public affairs program showcasing the diplomatic community in DC.

The program, called Meet theAmbassador, will use lively one hour interviews in an informal setting to give audiences a feel for current international issues as well as a more personal look at the unique life of an ambassador in Washington.

As its first guest, Hill Center is honored to have Her Excellency Kirsten Hillman, Canada’s Ambassador to the United States and the first woman to hold this critical post for her country.

She will be interviewed by former Michigan Governor and Ambassador Jim Blanchard who was appointed U.S Ambassador to Canada by President Bill Clinton.

The discussion will include important bilateral issues between our governments, but also a look at the challenges of such a demanding position in the political intensity of the nation’s capitol.

Meet the Ambassador will be prerecorded and available to ticket holders on April 20 at 7:00 p.m.

For tickets and more information, please go to HillCenterDC.org.

Questions for the Ambassador are welcome and will be accepted until April 13 at programs@hillcenterdc.org.
