Here’s something to look forward to this summer: Local restaurant group Knead Hospitality + Design plans to unveil Bistro du Jour at 99 District Sq. SW, where Dolcezza used to be.
Modeled after Carette, a chic Paris café, the 1,700-square foot Bistro will be Knead Hospitality’s third District Wharf venture. (The others are Chef Roberto Santibanez’s Mexican-style Mi Vida and The Grill, a stylish steakhouse and martini bar.)
By day, Bistro du Jour will showcase pastries from Mah-Ze-Dahr, the New York bakery which has partnered with Knead Hospitality. Come nightfall, Bistro du Jour’s focus will shift to Champagne, French onion soup, steak frites and coq au vin. So far, no word on who will helm Bistro’s kitchen.
And….Coming to the Navy Yard: Knead Hospitality’s The Gatsby. You’ll find the upscale diner this spring or summer at 1201 Half St. SE, near Nationals Park. For updates call 202-817-3005 or visit www.thegatsbyrestaurant.com.
