Everything about 2020 has been different, and that includes the holidays. We are used to gathering together as friends, family and community to celebrate. The pandemic has made it impossible to gather as a village to light a tree or a menorah, sing a joyous song or share a meal. Yet, still this community has pulled together.
Today at the Hill Rag, we’re feeling grateful for the village whose stories we’ve told and been part of for the past 46 years. Capitol Hill is a community full of loving people, dedicated businesses and caring organizations intertwined together to build this neighborhood we all call home. We are honored to be a part of it and a part of your day as we deliver news and views from the place we call home.
We can not invite one another into our homes, and perhaps that is why Capitol Hill seems to have done an exceptional job of decorating this year, wrapping every house as a gift to our neighbors. Check out some of the photos below. After your meal take a walk and check them out! You could use the #LightUptheHill map compiled by our good friends –and another ribbon tying our community together —the Hill is Home.
Wishing you all a safe, healthy and relaxing holiday!
