Police Seek Suspect in Northeast Summer Murder

Police are looking for help finding a suspect in a homicide that happened Sunday, July 12, on the 800 block of 19th Street NE.

At around 4:02 am, police responding to reports of a shooting found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds in a home at that address. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (FEMS) responded to the scene and determined that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The woman was identified as 28-year-old Shanika Williams of Northeast.

The suspect in this case, has been identified as 29-year-old Steven Martin Robinson,of Southeast. He is wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder while Armed.

He should be considered armed and dangerous and can be seen in the photos above.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
