The Eastern Market Community Advisory Committee (EMCAC) will hold a virtual meeting at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18. All are welcome. Log-in information is below.
Stanton Eastbanc, who manage the privately-owned C Street SE, will discuss future plans for the C Street Plaza. The meeting will also discuss a letter in regard to the Eastern Market Strategic Plan study, launched last November, asking the Department of General Services (DGS) for clarity on the next steps in planning.
Also on the agenda is discussion of the status of the conflict resolution proposal, Holiday Market plans, and an update on signage and banners to advertise the market.
EMCAC is the District’s legislatively established body entrusted with advisory and oversight responsibilities for the operations, management and renovation of Eastern Market. Current members include representatives from ANC6B, Capitol Hill Restoration Society, Capitol Hill Association of Merchants, Eastern Market Preservation and Development Corporation, Stanton Park Neighborhood Association, a community representative, Ward 6 Council Office, the Mayor and representatives from the South Hall, Farmer’s Line and non-food merchants at the Market.
