Events DC, the District sports and entertainment authority that manages the campus at Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) Stadium, will host a virtual community meeting Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m.

The community meeting is an opportunity for neighbors to hear about what is currently happening on the site, and what is planned for the immediate future.

Despite COVID-19, there is a lot of activity on campus. Events DC recently began work on the roads and sidewalks near the site, and announced earlier this month that a contractor has been selected to demolish the stadium itself, although demolition is not slated to begin until 2022.

The campus is also the site of an ongoing farmer’s market, food distribution, and Park Up DC, the drive-in movies playing on campus through at least Oct. 4.

Staff from Events DC will provide updates on activities that have happened and are expected to happen and answer questions from attendees.

The meeting takes place 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 via Zoom. You must RSVP by emailing RFKOutreach@eventsdc.com to get the meeting link sent to you.
