Montmartre, 7th Hill Hold Closing Inventory Sale

Susan Rosenwald, Maria Lopez and Melanie Holmes celebrating their friendship with mussels and plenty of wine on the Montmartre patio. The French restaurant and 7th Hill Pizza next door announced their closure May 18.

You can still say farewell to the owners of French bistro Montmartre and artisan pizza shop 7th Hill (327 Seventh St. SE), and purchase from their stock of wine, beer and frozen food at the same time.

Partners Chris Raynal and Stephen Lezla announced that they had decided it was time to call it quits at the two restaurants Monday, saying that they did not think it was a good time to continue in the business.

“We are thankful to the staff, and community, as well as to the landlord, with whom we have a good relationship. We have good memories of our time [on the Hill],” said Lezla.

This is the second and third closure for the partners, who sold the 7th Hill Palisades restaurant in November 2019. In January 2020, Del Popolo Seasonal Pizza Kitchen reopened on the site.

Say farewell to Raynal and Lezla by stopping by the inventory sale Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20 (if supplies last). Lezla said that sales include wine, beer and frozen food.
