Atlas Brew Works has added hand sanitizer to the list of items available for delivery and pick-up. The hand sanitizer was made in the Atlas brewery. It is an 80 percent topical solution that comes in 10 oz bottles.
Atlas joins other local breweries in the sanitizer game. On March 23, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that District Government has commissioned 2,000 gallons of hand sanitizer total from Republic Restoratives Distillery, and Compass Coffee as part of the District’s response to the coronavirus (COVID-19). That supply of hand sanitizer will be allocated to the District’s frontline workers, Woman-owned distillery Republic Restoratives made news early in the crisis by offering hand sanitizer made at the distillery with every purchase.
Atlas Brew Works also announced that their new seasonal beer, Ninja Sauce, is also available for take-out and delivery. The Belgian Pale Ale is described as having ‘subtle spice and bright citrus notes’.
A new ‘Rip and Recycle’ can allows for the removal (and collecting!) of the art on the cans.
“To maintain our desire to be good environmental stewards at Atlas, we came to understand that shrink wrapped and sticker labeled cans cannot be recycled so we collaborated with our can manufacturer on a solution,” said Atlas Brew Works Founder & CEO Justin Cox. “Our Ninja Sauce cans now feature a serrated label so beer drinkers can easily rip off the label and recycle the can.”
To celebrate the Ninja Sauce release, Atlas will host a virtual happy hour for fans, friends, and family on Friday, May 1. For more information on the virtual happy hour and the #RipAndRecycle initiative, and more, visit Atlas’ Instagram, Twitter, or www.atlasbrewworks.com.
