Speakers at SWNA meeting Include Survivor, Doctor Featured in Netflix 'Pandemic' Series

The Southwest Neighborhood Assembly (SWNA) will host an online community meeting featuring guest speaker Dr. Dennis Carroll, PhD., on Monday, April 27.

A Southwest resident, Dr. Carroll currently serves as the Director of the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID’s) Pandemic Influenza and other Emerging Threats Unit.

Recently featured in the Netflix series ‘Pandemic: How to Prevent an Outbreak‘ (2020), Carroll recently authored an article on Coronavirus published in the April Southwester. 

Other speakers at the meeting will include a SW resident, who will share her experience as a COVID19 survivor. SWNA has also extended speaker invitations to the DC Deptartment of Health.

The meeting will take place via Zoom at 7 p.m. Monday, April 27.
