For those who celebrate Easter, it is a time to get together with family and friends to celebrate rebirth together with the spring. People usually gather for church services, dinners and easter egg hunts. But constraints imposed on District residents have made that impossible. However, you can still participate in online Easter services, and socially-distanced Easter activities. Here are is a list of some services offered online this weekend, and some activities for you and yours:

Wave at the Easter Bunny as He Hops Around Hill East:

A Socially-Distanced Visit From the Easter Bunny

Starting at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 12, the Easter Bunny will take a hop around the Hill East neighborhood. Come out to your front yard, porch or stoop to wave at him as he goes by.

For the past several years, the 13th Street Community Park & Garden has hosted a neighborhood egg hunt, along with a visit from the Easter Bunny. This year, the community can’t gather around the bunny at the garden. So the Easter Bunny is going to the people – making socially-distanced visits on Easter Sunday! See the map here.

Livestream Good Friday and Easter Sunday Mass at the National Shrine on Good Friday at the Shrine, April 10, 2:30 p.m. Sunday mass at noon from the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception will also be live streamed.
