Suitland Parkway to Close Saturday

DDOT will temporarily close Suitland Parkway, SE between South Capitol Street, both SE and SW, as well as Firth Sterling Avenue, SE from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, for bridge reconstruction. In the event of weather or other unforeseen delays the closure will occur on Sunday, March 29. A marked detour will be in place during the closure.

This closure is necessary for construction activities associated with the South Capitol Street Corridor Project which includes construction of the New Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge and the reconstruction of the I-295/Suitland Parkway interchange.
