The Hill is home to many amazing musicians. However, with the closure or restaurants and bars in an effort to contain the coronavirus, there are fewer opportunities for them to perform, leaving many with significant losses to income.

Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation has stepped up to assist in providing relief for these musicians impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.

CHJF has decided to begin relief efforts with the community of house band and musicians who have performed regularly at their jam sessions.

Each week they will feature a different set of musicians in the house band.  Over the course of five years CHJF has hosted an array of skilled musicians.

You can help provide for this community of more than 40 house band members and see a live show from your own home. CHJF hopes to provide assistance of at least $150 per house band member to be dispersed within two weeks.

Join in for the Capitol Hill Jazz Jam on Facebook live at 8 p.m.

Wednesday’s band features Herb Scott-Sax, Aaron Myers-Voice, Elijah Balbed-Sax, Tommy Holladay-Guitar, Andrew Musselman-Bass, Dana Hawkins-Drums.
