If you lost your job or had your work hours significantly reduced with a DC-based employer because of COVID-19, you can apply for unemployment insurance. You are eligible to apply if: you received a layoff notice from your DC-based employer; you received a significant reduction of work hours from your DC-based employer; or you are in quarantine as a result of COVID-19, which has led to a temporary separation from work.
