The District Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) is hosting a series of workshops in a new Residential Rental Homeowner Series .
The four-part series is led by the DCRA permitting and plan review staff from October 2019 through January 2020 and will focus on converting one and two-family properties into rental units or Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
Perspective landlords are encouraged to attend workshops to fully understand the process of converting your home into a rental unit that meets all of the District’s laws and safety codes.

It will also discuss how to maintain rental units and stay in compliance with the District’s Housing Code Standards.
