Has Halloween crept up on you and you find yourself without a pumpkin to carve? No need to worry! The Boy Scouts have got you covered with a local pumpkin patch that will have you back home in time to make those snacks for your Nats watch party!
Troop 500 Scouts will be selling locally grown pumpkins from Schlagel Farms at 212 East Capitol St. NE. Sale times are Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon or until the great gourds are gone.
This is a easy and relaxing pumpkin patch trip for families with young children. Even if you already have your pumpkins, the Scouts welcome you to come by and take some photos of your little pumpkin along with their haul of pumpkins.
If you are interested in Scouting for your Boy or Girl, stop by and ask questions. The Scouts are available to help your carry home your pumpkin purchases, and delivery by car is available on the Hill.
Four bales of decorative straw are available for sale and delivery on Saturday night or Sunday at $20 each, great to adorn your Halloween Party.
