Police Seek Information In Rosedale Double-Homicide

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the 1600 block of Rosedale Street NE on Wednesday, October 9.

At approximately 9:47 p.m., members of the Fifth District responding to reports of a shooting found two unconscious men inside a residence on the block. Both were suffering from gunshot wounds.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found that the victims displayed no signs consistent with life. Both victims remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedents have been identified as 24 year-old Devon Miler, of Northeast DC, and 27 year-old Lekelefac Fonge, of Lanham, MD.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000, per victim, to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
