The Union Market District’s highly anticipated Latin marketplace, La Cosecha, will hold a soft opening this Thursday, October 3, marking the start of a weekly four-day opening schedule.
La Cosecha partners Zona E Home, NOVA BOSSA and Serenata will open their doors to preview the rich heritage of Latin sips and styles, while Peruvian Brothers, La Casita, Amparo, El Cielo, Mosaico (from the team behind Arepa Zone) and FILOS Bakery will offer a taste of what’s to come in a pop-up capacity. Grand Cata, Ali Pacha, Café Unido and Zumo are coming soon.
Market-goers can also explore a selection of rotating retail carts, including vendors like Arcay Chocolates, Adelante Shoe Co. and ArtTepuy, known for their handmade baskets and crafts.
For the artistically-inclined, Argentinian artist Mariela Ajras’s new mural installation, inspired by Latin American femininity, will be displayed at the intersection of Fourth Street and Neal Place NE.
Featuring amenities like a media lab, culinary immersion studio dubbed “Galería,” and event space, La Cosecha (1280 Fourth Street NE) is sure to become one of the District’s favorite destinations for Latin food, retail, culture and celebration.
As of Oct. 3, La Cosecha hours will be Thursdays: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays: 11 a.m. to midnight and Sundays: 11a.m. to 6 p.m.
