Attend Christ Church Octoberfest to Benefit Samaritan Ministry

Capitol Hillbillies to Headline Dinner Show Fundraiser

1440
The Capitol Hillbillies entertain patrons as they enter the new Trader Joe's September 29, 2017.

You’re invited to an Octoberfest fundraiser for Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m Sunday October 6. at Christ Church (620 G St. SE).

Besides having a rip-roaring good time, you’ll be raising money for a fantastic organization that provides employment opportunities and life skills and support to our neighbors in need throughout DC and close-in suburbs.

The Capitol Hillbillies will provide a mix of blues, country, and gospel music created on rhythm guitar/vocals, mouth harp, resonator slide guitar/washboard, upright string bass, and a rolling piano.

Your appetites will be satisfied by the hearty offerings. The menu includes smoked brisket, baked beans, coleslaw, and dessert, plus Octoberfest libations donated by the Christ Church Brew Crew

Cost of an all-inclusive ticket is $50 a person, of which $35 will go directly to Samaritan ministries. Ticket receipts will acknowledge the donation amount and must be purchased in advance.

The cost for children is $15 and includes food, activities, as well as supervision in the upper room of the parish hall.

Donations for Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington are also accepted.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite (links at washingtonparish.org and facebook.com/ChristChurchDC/). Christ Church Parish Hall entrance is off the alley between G and E.  Parking is limited.
