You’re invited to the Arena Stage Community Day, Saturday, August 24th. Help the Mead Center for American Theater kick off the 70th Season with an entire day of live music, family-friendly activities, performances, a wine and beer garden, a props sale and more! Everyone is welcome to this free event!
Does your home or classroom need a little theatrical flair? From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. get it straight from the stage at the Arena Stage props sale.
Pick up the perfect accent item and beautiful pieces from historic Arena Stage productions, including Carousel, Anything Goes, South Pacific, Kleptocracy, Disgraced, Smart People, Mother Courage and Junk. Pricing begins at $1 and includes full dining room table sets, lounge chairs, and specially-priced handmade prop and set pieces that will be perfect in any living or office space.

After you’ve checked out the prop sale, admire your purchase over a glass. Head for the rooftop terrace from 2 to 6 p.m. and visit The Grape Stand Wine And Beer Garden Hosted by Arena Stage’s Young Patrons Board, where you can enjoy a day of live music, cocktails, great performances and all-day games, including shuffleboard, mini-golf and more! Must be 21 or older to enter and have valid ID.
Once your thirst is quenched and you appetite is piqued, head for Richard’s Place Café and enjoy a Taste of Southwest starting at 2 p.m. Featured restaurants include Station 4, Masala Art, Canopy Central by Canopy by Hilton, Richard’s Place and more.
