At 10 a.m. Friday, August 2 the ribbon was officially cut at Frager’s Hardware (1115 Pennsylvania Ave SE). The event officially acknowledges the significance of the store’s return to Pennsylvania Avenue SE, and kicks off a weekend of celebrations. The iconic piece of the Capitol Hill community returned home to 1115 Pennsylvania Ave. SE in May, coming to the block where it all began in 1920.
Councilmember Allen, owners Gina Schaefer & Marc Friedman, and select Capitol Hill community leaders joined in the ceremony. Capitol Hill Community Foundation (CHCF) representatives, including President Nicky Cymrot, were present for the event, as Frager’s celebrations work to support the foundation. Customers who donate $5 or more to Capitol Hill Community Foundation will get 20% off regular-priced purchases.Spend $25 or more and get a free, limited edition Frager’s Hardware canvas tote bag with your purchase.
The ceremony was followed by a Capitol Hill Small Business Open House, lasting from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Capitol Hill businesses and Frager’s B2B customers are invited to stop to celebrate the grand re-opening, chat with the B2B and Hello Rentals team about how they can help grow your business, and tour the new store. Attendees will receive a free gift courtesy of Frager’s Hardware.
