Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 6B is sponsoring a community meeting to discuss the new proposed restaurant complex for the plaza on C Street at Seventh Street SE.
The applicant, Eastern Point Restaurants, wants to open a three-restaurant concept on the plaza, to be located on the same side as the splash fountain. The meeting will introduce the applicant and the concept and will provide the ANC with community Input necessary for developing a Settlement Agreement.
The current application includes planned seating for 230 inside the restaurants and 150 outside on the Plaza. Hours requested for alcoholic beverage sales are until 12:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Restaurateur Hollis Silverman, applicant and co-owner, will participate in the discussion, together with ANC Commissioners. The meeting will include presentations about the restaurant design concept and will offer the opportunity for residents to pose questions.
The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug 1, in the Club Lounge of the Residence at Eastern Market (777 C St. SE).
If you can’t make the meeting, send your comments or questions to Commissioner Jerry Sroufe at 6B02@anc.dc.gov.
