A woman was assaulted and searched for money by four men Sunday afternoon on 14th Street NE.
She told officers she was approached by four men, two on bicycles, who asked her ‘where the money was’ on the 700 block of 14th St. NE. When she refused to give them her money, they attacked and searched her body for cash.
She was able to fend off the attackers and flag down an officer to report the crime. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Nothing was stolen from the victim.
A lookout was issued for two African-American men wearing white T-shirts and two more African-American men riding bicycles. Two fled eastbound towards the 1500 block of Maryland Ave NE and the other two northbound on 14th Street NE.
