Barracks Row Restaurant Robbed Thursday

At around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday there was an armed robbery at Lola’s Bar & Grill (711 Eighth St. SE) while the business was closed.

An employee was working to get the restaurant ready prior to the 4 p.m. opening, when he heard a noise and went to investigate.

He found men people in the bar, one armed with a crow bar. The other pulled out a handgun and ordered the employee to lie on the floor. One of the suspects stole cash, while the second went into the back office and stole a laptop. He then went to the bar and took some bottles of liquor. Both then fled out a rear window.

The employee was not injured in the robbery.

A lookout was issued for two middle-aged black males. The first is described as of medium height, light colored shirt, dark colored pants, Nike tennis shoes, dark colored ball cap, wearing sunglasses. The second is described as of medium height, dark colored shirt, light colored shorts, dark colored belt, dark colored belt, dark shoes, light colored ball cap, wearing sunglasses. He was armed with a dark colored handgun.
