On Monday, Charles Allen (Ward 6-D) announced that the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will install five new all-way stops in Ward 6.
The five intersections include:

? 8th & D St NE ?
? 8th & A St SE ?
? 8th & A St NE ?
? 8th & P St NW ?
? 8th & Q St NW ?More on the way soon. These changes will improve safety!

Allen has been fighting for stop signs at Ward 6 intersections for years, together with ANC Commissioners and residents. All welcomed the announcement.
CM @charlesallen has been pushing DDOT for all-ways stops as the starting point at any intersection and then work from there. Here's video from April in an exchange with DDOT Director: https://t.co/WAMFuFeEBh

Installation will take more than a month, as DDOT is required to give Notice of Intent (NOI) to Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANCs) 30 days in advance of the change. ANC 6B will consider the installation of all -way stops at Tenth Street & South Carolina Ave SE, 12th & G Streets SE and Tenth & East Capitol Streets at the Tuesday meeting of the Transportation Committee, held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 at 700 Penn (700 Pennsylvania Ave. SE).
In a special update sent to her constituents, ANC 6B Transportation Committee Chair Kirsten Oldenburg noted that ANC6B has not yet received the notification of intent for the all-way stops at Fifth & D Streets SE as well as 14th & South Carolina Ave SE.
