Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) First District announced an arrest has been made after an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that happened on Saturday, May 18 on the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE.
At around 9:47 p.m., a suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim causing a laceration. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Saturday, May 18, a 22 year-old Southeast resident was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
