At Taste of 8th this weekend, sample Ceviche at Tortuga Carribean Bar & Grille (514 Eighth St. SE)! Barracks Row’s newest restaurant just opened their tropical rooftop patio on Wednesday at the site of the former Tio Javier. The first floor is opening soon.

“The island connection runs deep at Tortuga,” the compan writes on their website. “Our modern approach to Caribbean cooking, cool-as-can-be staff, and vibrant atmosphere offer an urban oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of DC.”

The big question at Chat’s Liquor’s (503 Eighth St. SE) is which ones of these pretty bottles in their Annual Wall of Rose will be sampled at Taste of 8th??? You’ve got to be there to find out!

Ted’s Bulletin (505 Eighth St. SE) has announced a three part sampling at Taste of 8th: Ted’s Mini Tart’s end the mini feast and Nana’s Biscuits and Gravy begin it but Ted’s chef is mysterious about the middle course. Solve the mystery at Taste of 8th!

Come by Barracks Row this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and make your up your own International Five Course Lunch. Tickets are $20.00 for a 5 Pack- buy online until 11 a.m. Saturday. You can also purchase tickets at the event for $5.00 each.
