1587

This summer the Congressional Chorus is expanding its youth programming opportunities through a new summer camp the American Youth Chorus (AYC) Summer Music Camp.

Designed as an extension of the school year AYC programs, campers’ horizons will be expanded musically and artistically through exploration of many musical genres, games, activities, songs, and excursions.

All sessions are open to children ages 7-12 of any musical ability –no prior music experience is necessary. Each session will culminate in a Friday evening performance open to the public.

Choose from four different themed sessions: Music Around the World! (one week), From Handel to Hamilton (two weeks), From Bach to Broadway (two weeks), and Masters in Miniature (one week).

Sessions run from June 24th to August 9th at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (301 A St. SE), and cost $325 per week with options for before and after care.
