Shaw Main Streets will host its annual soiree to celebrate the neighborhood as a top dinning destination from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday April 24.
EAT.DRINK.SHAW. highlights the neighborhood’s status as a nationally-recognized dining and drinking destination and is a fundraiser for initiatives that enhance and promote commerce within the Shaw neighborhood. Formerly known as “A Taste of Shaw,” EAT.DRINK.SHAW. is hosted by dozens of the area’s top bars and restaurants who all come together for a one-night culinary extravaganza.
The event returns to the Howard Theatre (620 T St. NW), which will be the backdrop for live music and unlimited libations and delicious bites from the hosting bars and restaurants. Proceeds from the event support Shaw Main Streets’ economic revitalization and historic preservation activities in the Shaw neighborhood of DC, which have helped bring about the transformation of central Shaw since 2003.
EAT.DRINK.SHAW. gives guests the opportunity to experience the best that the neighborhood has to offer in one night for one low price along with live music, raffles and swag bags. Special experiences include a build-your-own-biscuit-bar from Mason Dixie; an Insta-worthy dessert station hosted by Sugar Shack; Dolci Gelati and Nicecream. Enjoy elevated imbibing experiences at the EAT.DRINK.SHAW. specialty cocktail bar hosted by Service Bar and Roy Boys, Live Entertainment by Bee Boisseau and Christylez Bacon plus will make for a dynamic, delicious and experiential evening celebrating the Shaw neighborhood.
