On Saturday, March 16, 2019, a 30-year-old man from Southeast DC, was arrested for an armed robbery involving a knife. The robbery took place Friday, March 15, on the 900 block of G Street NE.
At approximately 11:58 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded US currency. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.
On Thursday, March 20, 2019 17-year-old from Southeast DC was arrested for two robberies on the Hill, both involving assault.
On Monday, November 19, 2018, at approximately 4:36 p.m. the suspect approached a victim on the 1400 block of Independence Avenue SE. The suspect took the victim’s cell phone and then assaulted the victim before dropping the cell phone and fleeing the scene.
On Friday, November 30, 2018, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the suspect approached the victim on the 200 block of Kentucky Avenue, Southeast. The suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money and After the victim complied, the suspect fled the scene.
On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, a 38-year-old from Southeast DC was arrested for a robbery that happened Wednesday, February 27, 2019, on the 700 block of 18th Street NE.
At approximately 1:26 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took US currency. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Rifle Recovered from Vehicle in Southwest
Around 10:45 p.m. Friday night, First District officers were called to 201 I Street SW, responding to reports that a man was seen with a rifle inside of a vehicle.
The officers had a description of the car, and they were able to locate and stop it as well as to detain the occupants. The officers recovered an SKS Rifle from inside of the vehicle and the subjects were placed under arrest without further incident.

- at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, on the 1700 block of Benning Road NE
At 2:22 a.m. Saturday, a man was arrested on the 1300 block of H Street NE on charges of Carrying a Pistol without a License.
At 6:37 p.m. Saturday, a woman was arrested on the 1000 block of 12th Street SE on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
At 3:30 a.m. Sunday, a man was arrested on the 1800 block of M Street NE on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
At 10:30 p.m. Sunday, a man was arrested on the 700 block of Kentucky Avenue SE on charges of Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery.
There were arrests for Simple Assault:
- at 1:20 a.m. Sunday on the Unit block of I Street SW
- at 2 p.m. Sunday on the 1200 block of Half Street SW
- and on Sunday on the 1500 block of F Street NE.

Prompt and detailed reporting of suspicious activities helps prevent crime. If a citizen sees suspicious activity, or any activity that seems out of the ordinary, immediately call 911.
When reporting suspicious activity, give an accurate description. Here are some things to include:
Brief description of the activity;
Date, time and location of the activity;
Physical identifiers of anyone you observed;
Descriptions of vehicles;
Information about where people involved in suspicious activities may have gone;
Your name and contact information.
