Head to the Hill Center (921 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) for Volunteer Capitol Hill 2019, held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
Volunteer Capitol Hill is an annual event designed to showcase a wide variety of opportunities for volunteer service. It was established in 2013 by the Old Naval Hospital Foundation to celebrate the extraordinary contributions made by Nicky and Steve Cymrot to the Capitol Hill community over a period of forty years.
The organizations who recruit volunteers at this annual event can help you learn how to make an impact in your neighborhood, in your city, or in the life of one of your neighbors down the street.
The event benefits nonprofit organizations by helping them recruit potential volunteers as well as network with other nonprofits, and benefits members of the community by helping them match their skills and interests to the needs of the organizations.
