Join the Capitol Riverfront BID at Canal Park Ice Skating Rink (200 M St. SE) for the annual holiday tree lighting! Gather with friends and neighbors at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, to watch the trees light up while enjoying festive music, hot chocolate and a special snow globe photo booth.
The switch will be thrown by Washington Nationals Mascot Screech, who will be available for photographs at the rink from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This year, the Capitol Riverfront BID has also partnered with Children’s National Medical Center and their “Light up Dr. Bear” campaign. The four bears placed in Canal Park, along with 312 other bears placed around DC, will light up purple and teal each time a donation is made to Children’s National.
