On Tuesday night, First District Units assisted the Narcotics and Special Investigations Division, Sixth District, and Helicopter Branch in the pursuit of a vehicle wanted in multiple robberies.  At around 10:30 p.m. hours, the chase entered the First District from the East Capitol Street Bridge. Witnesses said at one point the chase was going the wrong way down 15th Street SE before crashing to a stop in an alley on the 1600 block of Massachusetts Avenue SE, located between the avenue and C Street SE.

A Route 96 Metro bus was stopped in Massachusetts Avenue during the pursuit, and most alleys in the area were blocked as police conducted the search for the suspects.

All four suspects fled from the vehicle, but were quickly apprehended.  The suspects were arrested for at least six know robberies, carjackings, and attempted robberies. All of the alleged crimes happened Tuesday in the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Districts as well as in Prince George’s County. The suspects are juveniles.

No one was injured and no property was damaged during the pursuit and capture.
